There are many ways to recycle and any recycling helps our environment. Single stream recycling is the easiest and most comprehensive recycling program available. At least 75% to 80% of your household waste is recyclable.
Recycling is one way to insure our children’s futures. We, being our future generation’s stewards, need to do our part.

Single Stream Recyclables List: & “Please Rinse Out All Your Containers”
- Aluminum beverage containers, clean aluminum pie pans, and aluminum roasting pans
- Glass Bottles of any type
- Tin Food Cans (Large & Small Place back inside cans after rinsing)
- PET / Plastic containers with the symbol #1 (water bottles, clear plastic bottles)
- HDPE / natural plastic containers with the symbol # 2 (Milk Jugs)
- HDPE / pigmented plastic containers with the # 2 (Detergent, shampoo, bleach. coffee containers)
- Plastics with the symbol #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 Butter tubs, rigid plastic pastry/ plastic fruit packaging from grocers, medicine bottles, vitamin bottles, dish soap, flower pots, yogurt/cottage cheese/sour cream containers
- Newsprint (Newspapers)
- Cardboard containers / Large boxes must be cut down to dimensions no larger than 3ft.X 3ft. Cereal, cracker, laundry detergent boxes, paper towel ,&toilet paper tubes, pizza boxes (No food & wax paper in boxes)
- Magazines
- Catalogs
- Telephone books/ paperback books (no hardbound books)
- Printer & copy paper, office paper
- Mail (junk)
- All other paper
- Aseptic packaging (milk & juice cartons)
- Microwave trays & Frozen food boxes
- Plastic Film, unnumbered plastics, Grocery Bags, visqueen, trash bags, newspaper bags, shrink wrap, water/soda bottle plastic case wrapping, bubble wrap and blue recycling bags
- Plastic Coat hangers
- Bagged shredded paper
Materials NOT acceptable:
Hazardous Materials containers, of any type; including empty oil containers, pesticide containers, and paint containers, place these empty containers in with your regular garbage.
